More Newspapers Using iPhone06/01-2010
A number of newspapers are in corporation with Visiolinks Dutch partner now publishing their newspaper on iPhones with great succes. The iPhone application, that also are available on iPod Touch, both shows the newspaper as it looks physically and gives the opportunity to dive into the articles.
Visiolinks Dutch partner has until now helped the three Dutch newspapers (NRC Handelsblad, Volkskrant, Trouw) and the Italian newspaper La Stampa to publish on iPhone and iPod Touch. In this article we will take a look on how La Stampa publishes news on the iPhone.
La Stampa
Even though the section headlines are in Italian the application is both intuitive and easy to use. When the application is started you see todays newspaper and earlier downloaded newspapers. La Stampa gives 7 free downloads, so you can quickly read (Italian) news and learn how to use the application by playing around.
You choose which newspaper to read by pressing the iPhone screen and hereafter the frontpage of the newspaper where you browse through the newspaper as it was the physical newspaper. You can also se all section headlines – if you choos Sport all articles from the sport section will be shown – nice and easy.
The La Stampa application is free and can be downloaded either from iTunes or directly from appstore on the iPhone. NRC Handelsblad, Volkskrant og Trouw are also available from iTunes and appstore have the price of 6 DKK
